Luiz Henrique Cunha

Luiz Henrique Cunha leads the Tax Advisory practice at the firm. With over 17 years of experience, he works in an integrated manner across tax advisory and litigation, assisting companies on matters related to direct and indirect taxes, tax planning, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, international investments, tax credit recovery, management of tax contingencies, and tax transactions.

In addition to his advisory work, Luiz has extensive experience in tax litigation, particularly before the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF), with a focus on disputes involving tax planning, corporate restructurings, and income taxation.

He serves clients across various sectors of the economy, with emphasis on mining, construction (including companies operating under public-private partnership regimes), retail, fuel distribution, food, energy, steel, and technology.

Luiz holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT) and a Law degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas).
